Floral Prints Redefine a Wall’s
Versatility.
My Unprofessional Take on Walls.
Okay, I’m no architect. I’m no engineer. I’m no home builder.
But I do know that walls serve a particular purpose in a house
or commercial building. Exactly how they work or how many of
them need to be utilized, and where, is beyond my
comprehension, or my desire to comprehend.
I can tell you, however, that I value walls for more than their
structural
or privacy-providing purposes.
For me, walls are vertical canvases, blank pages, slates
awaiting a story. They’re barriers begging to be
disguised…sheer cliffs asking to be scaled.
There are few things more dismal than a bare wall. Its stark
nakedness attracts the eye - in a way that only an obnoxious,
attention-starved child can. And in contrast, there are few
things more brilliant (in color and intellect) that a wall
garnished with art that mimics the life that lies just beyond
our doorsteps…with floral prints.
The Unfading Beauty of Floral Prints
If you’ve ever wished for the immortality of your favorite
backyard bloom, you may have considered adorning your walls
with floral prints. Have you wished for brightly-colored,
boldly-brushed floral creations? Or soft, feminine backdrops
for the girlish charm of your understated décor? Or daring,
modern, geometric floral patterns to meld nature’s beauty with
the steel of minimalist decorating?
Or, maybe you’ve just recently considered a floral print’s
potential to bring that “missing something” to a room that
needs to be pulled together.
Are you inclined toward the classics, like Monet,
Cassatt, or Van Gogh?
Maybe a modern palette is yours. You might enjoy the large
blooms of Georgia O’Keeffe, or the up-close-and-personal floral
photography of Clark or Tenneson.
If your country décor is missing a certain charm, try adding
some Vicki Bowman or Robin Betterly.
Or how about the mute brightness of Anthony Morrow or John
Zaccheo, or the in-your-face vividness of Nel Whatmore?
If sophistication is your trademark, then Barbara Mock, Alice
Pritchard, or Robin Anderson will surely complement your
flawless ensembles.
No matter your taste, floral prints are available in a variety
of sizes and prices. Quality ranges from posters, to prints, to
canvas originals. Color palettes range from black and white, to
pastels, to retina-burning color. Your personal investment is
your choice, but I promise, that for less money than you might
spend on dinner and a movie, you can dignify any room with the
innovation that only a floral print can deliver.
Floral Prints and Silk Flowers, Nature’s
Impressionists.
When you internalize nature’s beauty, by bringing it indoors
through the use of floral prints and natural-looking
silk flower arrangements , you reign in a tranquility, a peace, that
only the exquisiteness of finely crafted nature
impressionists can muster. And, they will not perish. They
will remain…for years to come.
You don’t have love the Impressionists…you don’t have to be an
impressionist…to love the impressionist qualities of finely
crafted silk flowers and floral prints. Their impressions of nature
are virtually flawless.
Follow your gut when it comes to scaling that stark precipice,
to dressing that exposed piece of engineering science. It won’t
take more than a click, a nail, and a squint for
straightening…for your walls to move from problem children to
decorator’s pets.
