Prevent Cat Poisoning with Silk Flowers and
Plants.
Silk Flower Arrangements Keep
Your Cat Healthy and Happy.
We
all strive to have a beautiful home. A lush green plant or
a colorful flower arrangement can really brighten up a
room, so much so that all you want to do is snuggle up on
the couch with your adorable kitty. But unfortunately,
cats and plants don’t always make for a healthy
combination.
Most of us think that cats are merely a plant’s worst enemy.
However, plants and flowers are just a little more covert in
their cat attacks.
There are as many as 214 plants and flowers that can be
potentially harmful to cats. This list does not include those
plants to which your individual kitty might have an allergy.
Who’d ever think that such pretty little things-like
poinsettias ,
Baby’s Breath, ferns, and most of all, lilies-could be
dangerous? Well they can be if your cat decides to make
them into a snack.
If we were talking about dogs, perhaps you could simply place
your favorite lilies out of reach. Problem solved. But with
cats, well, we’ve all seen what they can do. Nothing is out of
reach for a cat.
What’s to be done in this situation? There are three
options:
a) Get rid of your cat
b) Get rid of your plants
c) Keep your kitty and replace your plants with life-like silk
flowers
My guess is that you’re attached to your cat and your plants,
so you’re probably going to opt to keep the cat and furnish
your home with silk flowers and
plants. But that’s not the only reason to replace your
plants with silk alternatives. First of all, they bring
the same life and color to your home as the real things.
They never die. And, they require no watering or
pampering. The fact that silk flower arrangements help you
keep your pets healthy and happy is just icing on the
cake. It seems that silk flower arrangements aren’t as
tasty to cats as the real thing.
But I thought my cat was a meat-eater?
Sure, your cat loves to catch a tasty mouse every once in a
while. But cats like anything green mostly because, you guessed
it, they induce vomiting. Cats will do and eat anything to
great rid of those uncomfortable hairballs that like to hang
out in their stomachs. If your indoor cat doesn’t have access
to the buffet of grass outside, you can bet that she’ll chow
down on your house plants.
And you can bet the ranch that vomiting will follow. A plant
snack can also cause excited behavior (due to nervous system
agitation), a sore or burning throat, cardiac arrest, or
comatose. The poison remains in her system even after vomiting.
If your cat ingests a house plant or flower, contact your
veterinarian or an Animal Poison Control Center
immediately.
Silk Flower Arrangements and your Cat can Live in
Peaceful Harmony
When you introduce silk flower arrangements into your home, you
might notice a few changes around the house. No longer will
your cat be stalking your elegant bouquets, or scaling your
curtains to get to your hanging plants, or practicing her
vertical leap to get to your potted greenery. Best of all, you
can enjoy the peace of mind knowing that your silk flower
arrangements won’t harm your precious kitty.

And don’t worry, your cat won’t have to go without fulfilling
her need to purge. Lots of feline friendly greens are available
at your local pet store. You can stock the house with plenty of
greenery that’s intended to help your cat keep a healthy
tummy.
With silk flower arrangements, everybody wins. You get to enjoy
a healthy, happy home filled with the beautiful flowers,
people, and animals you love. Isn’t that what everyone dreams
of?
