Silk Topiary for Well-Rounded Decor
The History of Topiary
Though topiary creations can be found in the most up-to-date of
homes, they’re not a new concept. Quite the contrary, in
fact.
Topiaries are defined as greenery sculpture. Crafted by
experienced gardeners with quality shears, they use boxwoods,
hollies, herbs, or other small-leaved bushes to depict animals
or geometric shapes.
First introduced in ancient Rome, during the reign of Julius
Caesar, topiaries came to be known for their airs of elegance,
luxury, wealth, and extravagance.
The use of topiary waned during the Dark Ages, but has since
grown in popularity, and is used by the most discerning of
home, office, and garden decorators.
Good Design, with Silk Topiary
Topiary creations can either accent your décor, or steal the
show. When a single silk topiary tree is displayed, it’s likely
to take over the spotlight of any room. Make it a focal point,
and the compliments will flow.
To accent, use two silk topiary creations. Flank a front door,
garage doors, or an outdoor fountain for great open-air
decoration. Or, indoors, placed topiary trees on either side of
a fireplace, dresser, or doorway for regal, architectural
mingling.
Geometric designs in silk topiaries also serve to organize a
room, and create the illusion of order and neatness. When
greenery (like silk topiary) is used in combination with white,
a pristine, immaculate look can be achieved.
Why Choosing a Silk Topiary Makes for a Well-Rounded
Decision
By now, you might be quite familiar with the benefits of silk
flowers and plants. They don’t need watering, pruning, feeding,
or repotting. They don’t drop their seeds and foliage. And,
they don’t aggravate allergies.
Use what you know about silk flowers
and plants to seal the
deal for your new topiaries. Marry ancient vintage with country
and modern. Offer royal structure to a room, or “plant” a
show-stopping green sculpture as a focal point.
Add lights, bows, and other festive items to your silk
topiaries for the holidays, to delight your guests, as well as
your own discerning eye. Easter eggs nestled among the
realistic foliage of a silk topiary offers an Easter creation
that’s sure to spark bunny love. Or, use your imagination to
make your new silk topiary simultaneously calendar-current and
design-timeless.
Simple greenery brings peace and tranquility. Geometric design
gives structure and brings order. Silk topiaries have proven to
be the perfect little package…and a well-rounded design
decision.
